Werkstatt 2024 Riesling

Notes from Bridget who makes the wine:
The fruit for the 2024 Riesling is sourced from maritime, cool climate Mount Gambier. The soil profile is dominated by metamorphosed limestone. The vineyard is organically managed by viticulturists Mary and Guy Stratford. The nose is powerful and rich with apricot and grapefruit characters, these give way for nuanced slate, lemon curd and grass notes. As it opens up there are some light, white floral characters. The palate is light to medium bodied with chalky acidity and a lick of residual sugar to balance. At the heart of this wine expect nectarine and young ginger, with a hint of green apple shining through. The finish is long and elegant.
