Valli Unite 2020 Rosso

Classic blend from the northern Italian regions.
Merlot 40%, Dolcetto 40% and Barbera 20%. The grapes are fermented separately in stainless still, then skilfully blended by the winemaker Alessandro. The wine follow few months of ageing in concrete before being bottled. The wine was created to support one of the many initiatives from Valli Unite Coop. The old label was saying: ‘Vogliamo i contadini! - Non c’è cibo, senza i contadini!’ which translates to ‘ We want the farmers! - There is no food, without farmers!’ The wines was meant to be part of a European campaign for a law to recognise and support rural farmings and sustainability. The label is now different, but their purpose is still in it.
