Les Fruits 2022 Chevy

Notes from Les.
A roughly 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from Murdock Hill in Oakbank, plus various borbes for funky complexity. Tank fermented and raised. Unashamedly inspired by the blended white appellation of Cheverny in the Touraine, Loire Valley. Of course, nothing like the real thing but a consistent idea thread. Importantly the expressions of the two varieties are seamlessly blended. Bright orchard fruits of apple and quince with a little perfume of dried yellow flowers. Softly textured from its long tank aging on fine lees, a little savoury reduction replaces the Loire’s minerality, citrus pith and yellow apple fruits. Slippery with a savoury edge from the pithy fruit expression.
