In Colli Euganei, an idyllic Veneto area with volcanic soils, Alla Costiera in Vo’ produces affordable, artisanal wines from traditional grape varieties.
Notes from the importer - The Serprina grapes (local name for glera) are spontaneously fermented for about fifteen days, and the base wine is then rested and aged in cement for about four to five months before being re-fermented in the bottle. What surprised me was the great aromaticity and savoriness of this sparkling wine—prosecco but from a fantastic terroir.
